On Tuesday, September 13, as part of their annual Top Ten Best New Restaurants series, the Detroit Free Press “took over” Bellflower. The four-course menu served by the Bellflower team included smoked pork, our bread pudding with caramel sauce, and fresh local produce from our friends at Good Neighbor Farm, We The People Opportunity Farm, Karpo Farm and Wolfe Orchard.
The paper’s coverage of the event, which was also a fundraiser for Detroit non-profit Forgotten Harvest, can be found on the Detroit Free Press site.
Free Press dining and restaurant critic Lyndsay Green can be seen here presenting Bellflower co-owner Mark Maynard with a wooden plaque marking the occasion.
